All about the Cross of St. Peter

The stone the builders rejected has become the Cornerstone. By the LORD this has been done and it is wonderful in our eyes.

- Psalm 118:22-23

The All-Seeing Eye of St. Peter or, even better, St. Peter's Eye of the Pyramid

Understanding the Christian Cross Turned Upside Down

I beseech you the executioners, crucify me thus, with [my] head downward and not otherwise, and the reason wherefore, I will tell unto them that hear.

- The Acts of Peter, XXXVII

Visually speaking, the Cross of St. Peter is nothing more than a plain, empty cross turned upside down, or 'an inverted Latin cross'. This has been understood by Catholic Christian for nearly 2,000 years and counting, Yet, for whatever reason, an alarming number of Protestants have thrown some rather embarrassing hysterical fits over the Church's continued use of this ancient personal emblem of Saint Peter, the Rock upon which Jesus intended to build His Church.

I tell you that you are Peter, and on this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.

- Matthew 16:18

Not withstanding the 'Christian' cry-babies just mentioned, this unique form of Christian Cross continues to be the official symbol of Saint Peter, the Prince of the Apostles. One of the more traditional names for this symbol is the 'Petrine Cross' or, in English, St. Peter's Cross for short. Regardless of any recent Hollywood portrayals of this ikon as 'evil' or 'Satanic' in meaning, the fact remains that the Cross of St. Peter's has, throughout the centuries, always been known to be a authentically Christian symbol. This has continued to be case for all Christian (both Catholic and Protestant), until just recently. One source makes note of this change in the meaning of the symbol:

St Peter's Cross is an inverted cross often associated with Satanism. According to popular belief, the cross is a symbol of inverted grace, or falling away from Christ's grace. However the origins of this little known Christagram is that it represents the legend that states St Peter was crucified upside down, as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Christ died (upright). It is often used with two keys, symbolizing the keys of Heaven.

The Alexandrian Biblical scholar, and Church Father, named Origen was one of the first to make reference to St. Peter's Cross by noting that, at the time of his crucifixion by Caesar Nero, Peter 'was crucified head downward, for he had asked that he might suffer in this way'. This, in the simplest, most elegant terms possible, describes the 'little known Catholic tradition of Peter's death.' Until just recently nearly all Catholics learned and were taught to look upon this particular 'cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Christ.' The Church maintains that Saint Peter did this to differentiate from his leader and personal friend, Jesus Christ, who was indeed crucified upright. The reasons for this are as follows:

It is believed that Peter requested this form of crucifixion as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Christ died (upright). As such, some Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Christ.

The Two Keys Symbol on the Right is sometimes used in conjunction with St. Peter's Cross
According to long-standing Roman Catholic tradition, the Pope has always been seen as St. Peter's direct successor as the Bishop of Rome. Because of this, the Papacy is often represented by the Cross of St. Peter, which may sometimes be iconographically combined with the more familiar 'Keys to Heaven' symbol. In fact, 'during Pope John Paul II's visit to Israel, he sat on a chair with the Cross of Peter cut into the back'. Due to the publication of certain photos in the media clearly showing St. Peter's Cross, this single act and subsequent Protestant uproar over the 'Satanic' significance of the event, was plastered all over the internet. Once again the cry-babies had a temper tantrum, which was pointedly by official Roman Catholic Church authorities. Readers should take note that this same symbol may also seen in Eastern Orthodox Christianity and is 'used by Petrine Orthodox Sebomenoi'.

In modern times, most especially the latter half of the 20th century, this very genuine and authentic Christian symbol of Saint Peter is now being seen, by an tragically increasing amount of people, as a symbolic representation of 'evil'. Sad to say, things have gotten so bad that a single online media photo of Pope John Paul II 'with a backdrop of St Peter's cross went viral quite quickly and has been been blamed for propagating an outrageously absurd belief about the Catholic Church's 'association with Satanism.'. Wikipedia summarizes this recent change in understanding about this historically harmless and docile Christian Cross turned 'Upside Down':

[St. Peter's Cross] has also often become associated with Satanism and anti-religious attitudes, as it is considered to represent the opposite of Christianity by inverting its primary symbol, the Latin Cross. As a result, this symbol has become very popular within anti-religion groups and among some black metal musicians. In films such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Omen, Petrine Crosses are displayed to represent Satan.

The Many, Different Varieties of St. Peter's Crosses on Display

Keep in mind, of course, that 'in Roman Catholicism the Petrine Cross is NOT seen as Satanic in any way.' Admittedly, there some credence to the claim that, even though a inverted Cross is okay, an inverted Crucifix has usually been 'seen as immensely disrespectful, and could be used to represent Satanic forces.' This mainly irrelevant fact has caused at least some observers to smugly conclude the difference 'between a Cross of Peter and upturned Crucifix [has been] sometimes obscured'.

As of now, the mainstream explanation about the uproar contends this subtle, yet essential, difference between an inverted Cross (St. Peter's Cross) and an inverted Crucifix is the primary culprit in the current misunderstanding. As such, the innate similarities between a Cross and a Crucifix must have inevitably lead to quite a lot of 'confusion about the acceptability of each symbol.' While this conclusion tends to please those seeking to avoid any controversy, it still seems a bit simplistic considering the fact that more than a few Protestants still view the exclusively Catholic symbol of the Crucifix as a form of 'evil' idolatry, regardless of whether it is turned right-side up or upside down.

Considering the continued success and influence of Roman Catholic Christianity around the world today (with 1+ billion baptized member and counting), one can safely ignore the continued, exclusively American (Protestant) fixation and hysteria over the age-old symbol of the Cross of St. Peter. Even so, the Church should at least take the time to promote the Christian truth that the inverted cross represents the Rock which is Saint Simon Peter, the one and only Jewish Papa (Pope) of every Catholic from every ethnicity in every country on this planet.

Many know Peter was a simple fisherman, but they forget he was also a full-blooded, God-fearing Jew
As the science-based population statistics clearly indicate, the future is still Saint Peter's, not Martin Luther's, just as his version of the Cross still is, and will continue to be, the exact opposite of the Cross belonging to his LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Therefore, let the truth be known to all who will read and listen by proclaiming it loudly and clearly throughout the internet. Tell everyone the objective facts about how the inverted Cross has not, is not, and will never be a Satanic symbol. Then tell even more that this symbol is actually called the Cross of St. Peter, and long after this great country has vanished from the face of the Earth, it will continue to be turned upside down, both now and forevermore.

Logically speaking, this would be the Flag of St. Peter's United States of America, or less formally called St. Peter's American Flag

...and the Gates of Hell will not prevail against it.

The Star of David, the Seal of Solomon, and How they Differ

 ______________________________________________

ON THE LEFT: Star of David (n.) - A symbol consisting of two OVERLAPPED triangles
ON THE RIGHT: Solomon's Seal (n.) - A symbol consisting of two INTERLACED triangles

Notice how the Star of David's 2-dimensional triangles are 'overlapped' while the Seal of Solomon's 3-dimensional triangles are drawn to appear 'interlaced', like clothing threads.

According to legend, King Solomon supposedly took the rather simple, two-dimensional Star of David he inherited from his Royal father and managed to improve upon it by having the two opposite triangles appear as if they were interwoven with one another. A rather interesting take on the very real differences between the Star of David and the Seal of Solomon reads as follows:
______________________________________________

Uniting the Water Triangle [facing downwards] with the Fire Triangle [facing upwards], the Hexagram is formed. It forms a six pointed star also known as the Seal of Solomon. This symbol is a [different type of] Star of David, the national symbol of Israel (God's chosen nation). The difference between the Star of David and the seal [of Solomon] is the triangles which make up the seal [Solomon] interlock and the two triangles of the Star of David lie flat against each other.

- Hexagram, TheForbiddenKnowledge.com

A Green Earth Symbol, Yellow Air Symbol, Black and White Star of David, then a Blue Water Symbol, and a Red Fire Symbol
______________________________________________

The traditional understanding that the Star of David and the Seal of Solomon have fundamental differences in both their origins and visual appearances, seems to have been nearly lost in modern times. What's most frustrating is that more a few modern dictionaries have gotten the essential differences between these two distinct types of hexagrams completely wrong, thus misleading everybody. So, readers should take careful note right now that the symbol seen on top of the Pope's head is, to be completely accurate, not a Star of David, but a Seal of Solomon instead. The biggest visual clue is the way that the Seal of Solomon's triangular lines look like they are either above or beneath one another without ever truly intersecting. Apparently, this was never the case with the Star of David. To be specific, King David used the symbol as a short form of his written signature and as a battle insignia painted on the shields of his fellow Israelite soldiers. In both cases, the iconographic complexity seen in the Seal of Solomon was never really needed and therefore never developed. In contrast, the Seal of Solomon was thought to have been an actual Royal Seal used throughout King Solomon's reign, a hand-held device which stamped an image upon either a puddle of wax, or clay, or even a form of paper made with animal skins. These Seals were usually custom-made by professional artists and were thus far more complex in appearance than any written signature or hand-drawn war emblem.

Notice how it requires far more artistic ability to draw (or create) the Seal of Solomon on the Right, rather than the simple, child-like Star of David on the Left.

In truth, one could say that both symbols were simply different versions of the Star of David. However, the Seal of Solomon has always been depicted with three-dimensional, interwoven (or interlaced) triangles. It is most unfortunate that literally no one these days really knows, or even cares, about what a Seal of Solomon actually is anyway. However, for the sake of precision, one should define the Star of David as being comprised of OVERLAPPING triangles, just as the Seal of Solomon (Solomon's Seal)should always have the appearance of INTERLACED (or INTERWOVEN) triangles instead. The actual, and factually correct, dictionary definitions of these two emblems are listed below:
______________________________________________

Star of David
(n.) - A symbol consisting of two OVERLAPPED equilateral triangles forming a star with six points, used as a symbol of Judaism. It is also called Magen David, Mogen David, and Shield of David, and is shaped identically to the hexagram and Solomon's seal. It is used on the flag of the modern state of Israel.

- Collaborative International Dictionary of English, Dictionary.net

Solomon's Seal (n.) - A mystic symbol consisting of two INTERLACED triangles forming a star with six points, often with one triangle dark and one light, symbolic of the union of soul and body. It is shaped identically to the hexagram and Star of David, distinguished only in its usage.

- Collaborative International Dictionary of English, Dictionary.net
______________________________________________

Among the various myths and legends concerning this age-old Biblical symbol, two of them stand out in particular. The first one concerns the reasons behind why the hexagram was ever called a star (or shield), while the second story explains the intricate three-dimensional pattern seen on the Seal of Solomon, but usually never with the Star of David. Now as to why the hexagram was ever called a Star, the main reason should be quite obvious to most observers. As nearly everybody would agree, the six-pointed shape itself bear a striking visual resemblance to the twinkling effect one experiences when looking directly at either a star, or the sun, through a somewhat hazy atmosphere.

Twinkle (Upward Triangle), Twinkle (Downward Triangle) little star, how I wonder what you are (Star of David). Up above the world so high (Upward Triangle), like a diamond in the sky (Downward Triangle)...

- An interpretation of the song 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'

A Ragtag Collections of Triangles and Hexagrams

There is also a Biblical reason why the hexagram has been called a star and it concerns a certain, obscure prophecy found in the Book of Numbers. Keeping in mind that this was written long before King David was ever born, the relevant verse talks about an unknown future leader of Israel who will rise to power and go on to defeat the traditional enemies of the Israelites- the Moabites for example. This future hero is metaphorically described as 'a Star' which 'shall come forth from Jacob', obviously meaning a yet-to-born descendant from the one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Because of the importance of the Davidic Kingdom, quite a few scholars claim this passage from Numbers should be seen as a direct reference to the later military success and subsequent rule of King David. Indeed, David official founding of the Kingdom of Israel in Jerusalem was the first event of extreme significance which had occurred in Israel since the time period recorded in the Book of Numbers. Yet the question remains as to why the hexagram, rather than David himself, is the 'Star' mentioned in Scriptures. The best, and probably only correct answer to this is that the original Star of David served as his personalized signature- comprised of two triangular Hebrew letters written on top of each other with one of them turned upside down. In short, the hexagram was simply a uniquely clever way David wrote the first and last initials to his own name. Therefore, the claim that the six-pointed hexagram used for David's name was also a perfect symbolic representation of the Biblically prophesied 'Star' of 'Jacob' happens to be fairly logical, at least in a metaphorical sense. Also, because the Bible just so happens to be filled to the brim with metaphors, this legendary explanation may indeed be the real truth behind the origins of the six-pointed Star.
______________________________________________

STAR OF DAVID:
I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A STAR shall come forth from Jacob. A scepter shall rise from Israel and shall crush the corners of Moab, and destroy all the sons of Sheth.

- Numbers 24:17

SEAL OF SOLOMON: Place me like a SEAL upon your heart, like a SEAL on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.
- Song of Solomon 8:6
______________________________________________

Now it is time to turn to the Judeo/Christian legends surrounding the Seal of Solomon and the reason behind the change in name. First, as previously mentioned, the more complex looking six-pointed star with interwoven triangles was Solomon's way of improving upon his father David's original design for their family coat-of-arms. This three-dimensional hexagram was also a far more appropriate insignia for a King of Israel and his Royal family to have as their personal seal. Even so, there was also a deeper, more profound reason behind the interwoven appearance of the Seal of Solomon's two interlaced triangles. Apparently, this specific design served as a visual talisman providing spiritual protection and control against the forces of evil. Not only was the Seal thought to ward against, or scare off, demons and other evil spirits, it also helped to trap, contain, and control them- thus rendering them harmless to mere mortals.

THE REVELATION: 'The triangles which make up the Seal [of Solomon] interlock and the two triangles of the Star of David lie flat against each other.' (www.theforbiddenknowledge.com)

The Star of David's Triangles pictured on the Left 'lie flat against each other'. while on the Right, the Seal of Solomon's Triangles 'interlock'.

To truly understand how and why this worked, notice how the Seal's interlaced lines have an eerie, maze-like appearance to them, going back and forth, above and behind each other, in a ceaseless, never-ending pattern. This infinite sense of complexity was said to cause disorientation and utter confusion in any demon who dared to look directly at the symbol. More than two thousand years later, the Medieval Christians (as well as Jews) also put their trust in the Seal of Solomon, believing it provided ample protection from the forces of darkness. Three different online sources confirm the 'magical' history of this symbol:
______________________________________________

The hexagram, as the Seal of Solomon, is generally...believed to have protective powers and magical properties...[It] has a long history of providing protection from demons and evil spirits. In some magical practices, it is associated with exorcisms.

- Who Knew Two Triangles Could Do So Much?: The Hexagram, by Rebecca, Themagicalbuffet.com

The Seal of Solomon dates back to the Bronze Ages and is a powerful symbol with many mystical and magickal qualities...the Seal of Solomon is believed to offer protection against both enemies and the evil eye, control spirits, and bring good luck in all aspects of life.

- Seal of Solomon, Amulet Power, Angelfire.com

In the middle Ages it was common to find amulets and talismans which reproduced the Seal of Solomon...It was believed that these magic drawings protected the wearer from the influence of demons and evil spirits, or just bad luck. It was also common to record the seal on a frame or lintel of the entrance door to homes...with the same protective character against the spirits or to potential fires.

An Assortment of Flags and Diagrams showing how Earth, Air, Water, and Fire triangles are placed together to form the Star of David, a symbol representing the entirety of Creation, both Heaven and Earth, and all that is in them.

______________________________________________

One might apt to conclude that both the form and function of the Seal of Solomon were in perfectly alignment, thus explaining the legendary spiritual powers this symbol was believed to possess. These days, Christians (and Jews) are free to choose to believe or disbelieve in its significance, yet even today, in the 21st century, the Seal's actual power over the minds of men (and women) has yet to disappear completely. Indeed, look at the dozens and dozens, perhaps even hundreds, if not thousands, of modern, educated adults who still use this symbol to practice magic and/or witchcraft. Even if one doesn't believe in any magic whatsoever, there still has to be a reason why so many fellow humans have such an on-going obsession with this one particular geometric shape. as if by its very appearance the supernatural will then become possible. A more balanced view concerning the power of the Star of David/Seal of Solomon can be found in the Catholic Church of today. Mentioning the Star of David by name, it reads as follows:
______________________________________________

The magi's coming to Jerusalem in order to pay homage to the king of the Jews shows that they seek in Israel, in the messianic light of the STAR OF DAVID, the one who will be king of the nations. Their coming means that pagans can discover Jesus and worship him as Son of God and Savior of the world only by turning towards the Jews and receiving from them the messianic promise as contained in the Old Testament.

- Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church
______________________________________________

In conclusion, the actual history of the hexagram in terms of the Judeo/Christian tradition indicates that the Star of David/Seal of Solomon appears to be in complete agreement with a fairly long and extensive history of Christian use. Hopefully, Christian respect and admiration for this particular emblem will extend itself into an open friendliness, rather than hostility, towards those who still practice and believe in Judaism. Christian Gentiles must come to realize that, even today, the Jews are part of Jesus Christ's real family, for He really was born a Jew and He really did die a Jew. As such, this symbol represents both Him and them, meaning the non-Christian Jew is not simply just the 'Other', the Jew is also a Christian's brother.

The Facts about Talmudic Sexual Morality

"The constant accusation that the Talmud is in any way sexually immoral or impure is one of the biggest lies ever told. In reality, the Rabbis of the Talmud were very strict about personal sexual behavior."

* The Natural, Normal, and Traditional Sexual Morality of the Talmud *
___________________________________

The constant accusation that the Talmud is in any way sexually immoral or impure is one of the biggest lies ever told. Why? I've studied the ENTIRE Babylonian Talmud for many years and found it to be very sexually moral, more so than most forms of Christianity. In reality, the Rabbis of the Talmud were very strict about personal sexual behavior. For example, the Talmud insists that a husband may only have sex with his wife in total darkness. Any outside light source illuminating the interior of the marital bedroom was prohibited. Marital love even by the moonlight was seen as sinful and wrong. This is not to say the Rabbis were repressed in any way. Indeed, they come off as quite wise and down-to-earth about sexual matters. Their frank discussions of animal breeding practices would probably make a young girl blush, but their old-fashioned chivalry and respect for women prove the point that these Rabbis represented sort of an ancient version of the Anglo-Saxon country Gentleman.

* The Talmudic Opposition to the Devil's 'Handshake' *
___________________________________

Because of the traditional Jewish respect for self-discipline and self-control, the Talmud's attitude towards masturbation was far different than today's Christian tolerance and acceptance of a sexual act still defined in the dictionary as self-abuse, or self-defilement. The Rabbis of the Talmud considered any man (or boy) who masturbated as being 'worthy of death'. Here is the relevant Talmudic verses and their blatant condemnation of that diabolical method the Devil prefers to use all the while pretending to shake your hand in friendship.

Rabbi Ammi stated: "He who excites himself by lustful thoughts will not be allowed to enter into the Presence of the Holy One, blessed be He.' For here it is written, 'Was evil in the sight of the LORD,' and elsewhere it is written, 'For You are not a God that takes pleasure in wickedness and evil shall not sojourn with You.'"

- Jewish Talmud, Niddah 13b

Eleazar stated: "Who are referred to in the Scriptural text, 'Your hands are full of blood?' Those that commit masturbation with their hands."

- Jewish Talmud, Niddah 13b

It was taught at the school of Rabbi Ishmael, 'You shall not commit adultery,' implies, 'You shall not practice masturbation with either hand or with foot.'

The Maccabee - 10 Simple Reasons why Christianity should Practice Male Circumcision

'Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, 'and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?'

- Jeremiah 23:29

For almost 2,000 years, the consensus of Christianity has been that male circumcision is not required for the faith. Nonetheless, there are numerous and fairly valid reasons to finally reintroduce this practice among Christians throughout the world. There are also some specific passages that seem to suggest that the religion of Judaism should also promote and perhaps even require circumcision among the Gentiles as a part of their own faith.

This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

- Genesis 17:10

The covenant of male circumcision started with Abraham, the founding father of the three major faiths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. For Christianity to truly be a part of the House of Abraham, they should circumcise their male children. After all, Christians have fulfilled the prophecy that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sands upon the seashore. There are some who would claim that Christianity obeys the Seven laws of Noah and that only Jews are actually required to practice circumcision. That is the wrong assumption as the following passages from the Jewish Talmud clearly show:

The Master said: Every precept which was given to the sons of Noah and repeated at Sinai was meant for both [Noachides and Israelites]

- Sanhedrin 59a

But circumcision, which was given to the Sons of Noah, for it is written, 'Thou shalt keep my covenant, and repeated at Sinai, And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised,'

- Sandhedrin 59b

This law was not learned from the teaching of Moses our teacher, until Ezekiel came and taught, 'No alien, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh shall enter into my Sanctuary to serve me'

- Sanhedrin 22b

One should remember that the compromise concerning uncircumcised Christian Gentiles found in the Book of Acts was not a unanimous decision and was probably not meant to be an eternal dictate that Christians didn't need to circumcise their male children. What follows are ten excellent reasons why Christianity should practice circumcision as a standard aspect of their faith:

Ten Reasons Why Christianity should Practice Circumcision

I. The Covenant of Abraham

BIBLE: This is my covenant, which you shall keep…Every man child among you shall be circumcised. (Genesis 17:10)

CONCLUSION: Though many Christians are not blood-related to Abraham, they are a part of his House and subject to the same law. Many followers of Abraham practiced circumcision.

II. The Gospels of Jesus Christ

BIBLE: It is easier for Heaven and earth to pass away, than one part of the law to become invalid. (Luke 16:17)

CONCLUSION: Circumcision is one of the oldest Hebrew laws and was commanded by God Himself. Regardless of past Christian tradition circumcision is still the law.

III. St. Paul’s Obvious Approval

BIBLE: What value is there in circumcision? Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God. (Romans 3:1-2)

CONCLUSION: Although St. Paul appears to disapprove of circumcision in some passages, this is because he was fighting against those Christians who still believed it should be required. Paul himself was circumcised.

IV. To Be Like Christ - Christian

BIBLE: When eight days had passed for the circumcising of the child, His name was called Jesus. (Luke 2:21)

CONCLUSION: Jesus Christ was circumcised on the eighth day. To be like Christ is to be circumcised. To be a Christian mother is to be like Mary’s and to circumcise their sons

V. To Be Like the Apostles

BIBLE: And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child…His mother answered…he shall be called John.- Luke 1:59-60

CONCLUSION: All of the Apostles and all the Disciples were circumcised. Jesus Christ Himself was circumcised along with His father, his brothers and all his ancestors and early followers.

VI. To Honor the Christian Martyrs

BIBLE: They put to death certain women, that had caused their children to be circumcised.- I Maccabees 1:60

CONCLUSION: St. Peter, St. Jason, St. James, St. Stephen, St. Thomas, , St. John & many other Christian Martyrs were circumcised.

VII. To Renew the Hebrew Tradition

BIBLE: Abraham took…every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin.(Genesis 17:2)

CONCLUSION: To truly become a member of the House of Abraham, to distinguish oneself from the Pagans, and in order to fulfill the laws of God as commanded by Jesus, all Christians should now circumcise all their male sons by the age of 18.

VIII. To Remove all Pagan Customs

BIBLE: They…leave their children uncircumcised, and make their souls abominable with all manner of uncleanness and profanation. (I Maccabees 1:48 )

CONCLUSION: Today, a growing number of Jewish and Christian mothers leave their sons uncircumcised. In the years to come, more and more Pagans will become hostile to Christianity and to the practice of circumcision. Oppose the Pagans.

IX. To Convert the Jews & Muslims

BIBLE: Ishmael…was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised. (Genesis 17:25) Abraham circumcised his son Isaac at eight days old, as God had commanded him. (Genesis 21:4)

CONCLUSION: Jews and Muslims would more likely convert to a Christianity that practices circumcision.

X. In Tribute to the Early Saints

BIBLE: Mattathias and his allies…forcibly circumcised any uncircumcised boys whom they found in the territory of Israel…They save the law from the hands of the Gentiles. (I Maccabees 2:45)

CONCLUSION: The first 5 Saints of Christianity, St. Judas, Jonathan, John, Simon, and Eleazar were all circumcised Jews who fought against the Greeks who butchered anyone that practiced or opposed the new law that banned circumcision.

Maccabee Christianity is fully supportive of the practice of circumcision by those of the Christian faith. Indeed, read carefully, Scriptures seem to indicate that the practice of circumcision may well be destined to become universal among all men on planet Earth. History, and the Bible, stands as a clear warning to those who would so blithely disdain male circumcision as a barbaric custom of the past. Here are just a few pertinent quotes:

In those days there appeared in Israel men who were breakers of the law, and they seduced many people…They covered over the mark of their circumcision and abandoned the holy covenant; they allied themselves with the Gentiles and sold themselves into wrongdoing.

- I Maccabees 1:11-15

Women who had their babies circumcised were put to death, in keeping with the decree, with the babies hung from their necks; their families also and those who had circumcised them were killed.

- I Maccabees 1:60-61

The King sent messengers with letter to Jerusalem and to the cities of Judah, ordering them to follow customs foreign to the land…to leave their sons uncircumcised, and to let themselves be defiled with every kind of impurity and abomination.

- I Maccabees 1:44-48

May the LORD God bless you in the name of St. Judas Maccabaeus.

The Morning Star is the Star of David

Typically, whenever the subject of a star is mentioned symbolically most Christians tend to immediately think of the five-pointed star, the pentagram. While this emblem may appear benign to some, it is actually the ancient symbol of Samael, the Serpent and the Devil, as well as his son Cain, who was not the son of Adam. Instead, God-fearing believers should begin to think about the hexagram, the Star of David, not just as a Jewish symbol, but as a Judeo-Christian symbol that has been a part of Christianity since the very beginning.

= The Morning Star of the Holy Bible

Those who defend the use of the pentagram in order to represent Christianity are apt to point out that it is only the pentagram upside-down that connotes evil, while the five-pointed star right-side up is actually a symbol of goodness. Regardless of who is really right about this particular subject, the fact remains that it is still the Hexagram, the Star of David, more than any other symbol, which truly represents Christianity. Given everything, the pentagram is far more of a Pagan, and anti-Christian symbol. Why is that? Here are just a few reasons:

I. The Star of David is a symmetrical symbol representing the Christian trinity, while the the pentagram is an asymmetrical, dualistic symbol. From the beginning, Christianity has always been a unified, symmetrical religion that emphasizes the unity, rather than the duality, of both the material and spiritual world. Dualism was always considered to be a Pagan, or Gnostic, heresy
II. The Star of David, quite literally, symbolizes the Messiah, which in Hebrew simply means the King of Israel, or the Anointed One of God.
III. Because Jesus Christ is from the House of David, it is the hexagram, and not the pentagram, that is truly representative of Rabbi Jesus. In reality, the six-pointed Star of David is nothing more than the ancient coat-of-arms for the royal family descended from King David. This includes Joseph, the father of Jesus Christ, as well as Jesus Himself.
IV. The Bible makes metaphorical reference to the Star of David, both in the Old and New Testament, such as when talking about an 'eye for and eye, tooth for a tooth', Heaven and Earth, etc. Scriptures is filled with obvious references to the two triangles of the Star of David.
V. Judeo-Christian symbolism of the four elements (Earth, Air, Water, Fire) has traditionally been based upon the two triangles of the hexagram with earth and water being the inverted triangle and air and fire as the upright triangle.
VI. Churches throughout the world can be found with the Star of David upon them. For centuries, Christians have always viewed the Star of David, the hexagram, as a 'hex' that protects against the Devil.

With all this in mind, it seems quite logical to conclude that the Morning Star, which is mentioned several times in the Bible can best be symbolized by the six-pointed hexagram, rather than the somewhat evil, five-pointed pentagram. In order to understand this assertion, here are all the Biblical passages which mention the Morning Star by name:

The Morning Star in the Bible

Let its morning stars remain dark.Let it hope for light, but in vain;may it never see the morning light. (Job 3:9)

Keep the
morning star from shining, give that night no hope of dawn. (Job 3:9)

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me if you have such insight...Who laid its cornerstone when the
morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7)

He was like the
morning star shining through the clouds, like the full moon. (Sirach 50:6)

How you have fallen from heaven, you
morning star, son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the ground, you conqueror of nations! (Isaiah 14:12)

So we are even more confident of the message proclaimed by the prophets. You will do well to pay attention to it, because it is like a lamp shining in a dark place until the Day dawns and the light of the
morning star shines in your hearts. (2 Peter 1:19)

To those who win the victory, who continue to the end to do what I want, I will give the same authority that I received from my Father. I will give them authority over the nations, to rule them with an iron rod and to break them to pieces like clay pots. I will also give them the
morning star. (Revelation 2:26)

They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the
morning star! (Revelation 2:28)

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you about these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright,
Morning Star. (Revelation 22:16)

As can be seen, the metaphorical use of the Star of David, along with the two triangles it is composed of, is clearly on display in most of these Scriptural passages. Indeed, the last verse just quoted from the Book of Revelation is quite obvious in its metaphorical intentions. Here is an ikonographic chart which indicates the symbols being alluded to:

The Bible
Revelation 22:16

I, Jesus...am the Root...
...and Branch of David.

I am the Bright, Morning Star.

While not as obvious as the this particular Biblical passage, literally every single one of the verses mentioning the Morning Star can be understood using different sequences of two triangles which make up the Star of David. All things considered, the Morning Star referred to throughout the Bible most surely connotes the six-pointed Star of David, the hexagram, rather than any other alternative insignia. Here are the rest of the symbolic interpretations of the Morning Star as written in the Holy Bible:

The Bible
Revelation 2:26

I will give them authority...
...over the nations, to rule them with an iron rod and...

...to break them to pieces like clay pots. I will also give them the morning star.

The Bible
Isaiah 14:12

How you have fallen...
...from Heaven...

...you morning star, son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the ground, you conqueror of nations!

The Bible
Revelation 22:16

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you about these things in the churches. I am the Root...
...and the Offspring of David...

...the Bright, Morning Star.

The Bible
Revelation 2:28

They will have the same authority I received from...
...my Father, and I will also give them...

...the morning star!

The Bible
2 Peter 1:19

You will do well to pay attention to it, because it is like a lamp shining in a dark place...
...until the Day dawns and the...

...light of the morning star shines in your hearts.

The Bible
Sirach 50:6

He was like the morning star...

...shining through the clouds...

...like the full moon.

The Bible
Job 38:4-7

Who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and...

...all the sons of God...

...shouted for joy?

The Bible
Job 3:9

Let its morning stars remain dark...

Let it hope for light, but in vain...

...may it never see the morning light. (Job 3:9)

May the LORD God bless you in the name of the Judeo-Christian tradition.
